Changes to Transfer Note and Consignment Note

The Waste (England and Wales) Regulations 2011 have introduced some additional requirements to waste transfer notes, this came into force on 28th September 2011.

The first requirement is for the Waste Producer to confirm that they have managed their waste in line with the Waste Hierarchy (See below for details on the Waste Hierarchy). This means that all Waste Transfer Notes contain a statement near the signature box.

The second change that applies is now the requirement for a Standard Industry Classification Code (SIC 2007) to be shown for the Waste Producer, which classifies their type of business in line with the Companies House records.
