Market Report
Last week vegetable oil markets were quiet with very few buyers or sellers coming forward. The market appears to be waiting for fresh news especially from big funds which have been having a major impact recently and creating a lot of volatility. With South American crops well underway, attention is turning to European crops which still need to be grown, a lack of rain in April is not as bad as prior to harvest but there is some concern over the unusually warm weather. A stronger dollar is forcing prices up which means many buyers are continuing to wait.
This week has seen the dollar weaken trading between 1.62 and 1.64 to the pound
