The UK are way behind the rest of Europe on the production of Biodiesel
Despite having to meet carbon reduction targets the UK is trailing the rest of Europe according to new statistics released by the European Biodiesel Board this week. The figures show that whilst Germany accounted for 36% of European biodiesel and France accounted for 27.5 %, the UK only produced 3.5% of the EU’s biodiesel in 2011. Italy, Belgium, Spain and Portugal where all ahead of the UK in the rankings. (These figures include biodiesel produced from waste cooking oil)
